Originally from Venezuela, Ruben got his first taste of the U.S in the city of Fort Lauderdale, FL where he learned to speak English right after finishing high school in Trujillo, Venezuela. He continued his education in Orlando, FL until he decided Texas was a better fit. It was at Southwestern Adventist University in May 2015 that Ruben completed his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration / Marketing. It was important for Ruben to do something he felt passionate about for a living.
Instructing good people to become proficient with firearms in order to avoid accidents or becoming victims is one of those passions. After having been on the wrong end of the barrel twice, it was evident to him that there is a God given right to self-defense. Ruben looks forward to seeing the new faces at Off Duty Armory of people seeking to practice safety and becoming proficient with their firearm.read more
